The African Union, through the Inter-African Phytosanitary Council (AU-IAPSC), is organizing an event dedicated to the coordinated management of Banana Bunchy Top disease, which affects banana production in several African countries such as Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The event involves collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), with the aim of strengthening food security and supporting the local economy through improved phytosanitary management.
